All the awesome processing tools in the world does not help much if you're not able to run them. While Gransk is quite easy to get started with, it requires privileges on the machine you want to do the processing on. This means that you often need to transfer data back and forth between systems, which is a tedious process.

Gransk Mini (demo video above) is a single HTML-file runs locally in any modern browser (>= IE 10) and the only requirement is that you are able to open the file. It processes (extracts text and entities) from docx, xlsx, pdf and text files. It also automatically unpacks zip archives. There is no installation process, just download and double-click on the file.

It does have a number of limitation comared to its big brother. Gransk has the following extra features:

It also has no persistence. While it would be nice to use local storage like IndexedDB or LocalStorage, these may be disabled by the IT-guys. The mantra of Gransk Mini is that it should run everywhere, without needing to ask anyone.
